Whatever lawyer you retain, you should have a sense of who they are and what they are like.  The following is provided to give you a sense of what I am like as a person and why I have chosen law as a career.  If you have any further questions you would like to ask, feel free to contact me

EDUCATION AND WORK HISTORY

After growing up in Redlands, I graduated from University of California at Riverside in 1998.  I then went onto graduate school, earning my Master of Arts from City University of New York in January, 2002.

After graduate school I worked for Communication Services for the Deaf for two years before attending Chapman University School of Law.  In May 2007, I received my Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration.

Why should you choose me over another attorney offering the same service

I am the most accessible attorney you may ever encounter.   I answer my own phone and if I am in court I return calls within one business day.

There is never a "gatekeeper" between me and my clients.  I only take a limited number of cases so that I can be available to each of my clients.  As part of my best practices and personal philosophy, interacting with my clients provides me a greater opportunity to handle his or her case down to the last detail.

Why I became a lawyer…

There is not just one answer to this question. I knew that whatever I did I wanted to help people.  Also, a bit of family history was involved in the decision.  My Great Uncle Harry died while apprenticing at a law office in one of the early incidents involving alcohol and motor vehicles.  This always left our family "without a lawyer" and my grandmother would occasionally mention this to me. Now that I am practicing, I have chosen an area of law that provides the best access to providing relief to people.

Why I decided on bankruptcy and probate law…

After law school, I litigated all types of cases ranging from satellite bandwidth to pizza parlors.

Ultimately, I found litigation unfulfilling.  Even obtaining a judgment for a client could be unfulfilling.  I found giving people a fresh start and planning for the future to be a much more rewarding way to use my license.

Personal Interests…

When I have free time, I love spending time with my wife, family and friends.  I am also a diehard Lakers and Steelers fan. Also, I donate time at Legal Aid and participate in local organic co-ops.
